The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has played a significant role in fighting unemployment by establishing the Skills Acquisition and Women Vocational Development Center in Potiskum LGA.
The skills acquisition center and women's vocational development center are playing a significant role in fighting unemployment and providing self-reliance to young men and women following the sponsorship of training them in various vocational skills by the chairman of Potiskum, Hon. Salisu Muktari.
The center provides various vocational training for self-reliance, which is very effective in reducing acts of terrorism and promoting creativity and social development.
This is in line with Governor Buni's vision to curb the menace of terrorism and bring ease of living and prosperity to the Yobe State.
The governor has established various vocational training institutions across Yobe State, which are playing a vital role in creating jobs and self-reliance and strengthening the economy of the local government areas and Yobe State as a whole.
The governor has used the institutions to strengthen the income generation of the local government areas and create jobs for thousands of young men and women.
