fingers of drop-off lay night to rest
dawn wake in pyjama of dazzling silk
embroidered sun, crawl methodical

ooze soft from her crepuscular shell
hatched the glary maul of the young sun,
draw the curtain on night, neck the sky

her soft smile clad sky in gown of gold
kiss tree, flex her biceps with cerise lips
splash window panes with amber drapes

birds sing her nascence in the tree
file the cerulen sky prime gray-amber
with quill woven in canvas of sapphire

joyful for the rosy dawn they sing lay
of farewell to the dire night lay to rest!
