o, dearest friend gone so soon, say bye
to a world that wave the power of death
while we wait for a twinkle of an eye

for the forces of darkness that lie
in wait for us from the day of birth;
o, dearest friend gone so soon, say bye

to a debt we must all pay; but why
accede so early to paying your debt
while we wait for a twinkle of an eye

for the last iota of life to pass by
from this twisted web called earth;
o, dearest friend gone so soon, say bye

to pain and pang with the many sigh
of agony that bring us tears at last
while we wait for a twinkle of an eye

for paradise no one will live to die
- the sole epiphany of rebirth;
o, dearest friend gone so soon, say bye
while we wait for a twinkle of an eye!

Condolences to your dear friend on their passing. The themes here are both tragic and hopeful, reflecting on life's cycles and the eternal spark of rebirth.
