(Odùu'fa kan tí ó ń jẹri sì ìwá s'aye Jésù Kristi àti ìpadàbọ̀ Rẹ̀. Translation of the Yorùbá version)
Ẹ̀là, rọ̀ wá!
Ẹ̀là, rọ̀ wá,!
Ẹ̀là, wá 'yé ọ wàá gbe'ku!
Ẹ̀là, wá 'yé ọ wàá gbe'ja!
Ẹ̀là wáy'é,
Ẹ̀là ó gbe'ku.
Ẹ̀là ó gbe'ja
Ẹ̀là gbá'yé ṣe rere.

Ayé bínú Ẹ̀là,
Ayé p'Ẹ̀là,
Ẹ̀là kú,
Ẹ̀là jíǹde,
Ẹ̀là gòkè ọ̀run lọ.

Ọmọ l'ójú Olódùmarè kàn ṣoṣo

Becky, I apologize for the late response. I just found that you had a request waiting for me.
To begin with,
Ẹ̀là, as the topic spells out, is the subject and object of the poem.
Ẹ̀là is the name attributed to Jesus Christ in the parlance of the 'Ifa' (Oracle) during the antediluvian era or the stone age. The is the spiritual practice of the traditionalists of that time.
Ifá (Oracle) was a medium of divination dating back to that epoch of existence. This was a means of communication between man and Olódùmarè (God). This practice is still recognized in many parts of the world, especially in Africa.
However, this piece of poem is certainly unraveling the fact that even traditional beliefs and the mythology hold the truth about, i. The divine sonship of Jesus Christ, ii. The establishment of the evidence of the incarnation of Christ in human body on the earth. iii. The controversial crucifixion of Jesus Christ and iv. The confirmation of Jesus ascension into heaven after he resurrected.
The entire journey of the Lord on earth was compacted in that few lines.
