"In every life, a balancing act,
Between self and others, no time to relax."
"Ego's weight, it can be a drag,
But too much selflessness is a flag."
"The ego's pull can lead to strife,
But to give up self is not the life."
"To find the balance, the golden mean,
Is to be neither egotistical nor serene."
"The middle way is not so plain,
It takes effort, it takes some pain."
"But with time and care,the way is clear,
The balance found, it's a cause for cheer."
