The executive governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, is nearing completion of a modern trailer park with the most well-organised, beautiful, and largest infrastructure in Africa.
Potiskum LGA is a local government that excels in the transportation sector, especially trucks across Africa. The governor has taken the initiative to create the largest and most efficient trailer park in Africa in the local government.
The trailer park will provide space for more than one thousand (1000) trailers (Daf), which will reduce traffic congestion in the city, ease traffic congestion, improve transportation, and boost the economy of the local government and Yobe state as a whole.
The station (trailer park) will also provide employment to over five thousand (5000) youths, which will boost the economy and provide good solutions and also improve the peace, security, and stability of the local government area.
The station (Trailer Park) has a size of over three thousand (3000) square meters, which ensures that there is no other trailer park as large as it in the whole of Nigeria and the entire African continent.
The station also contains modern facilities and places to earn money, including a mechanic garage, a mini football stadium, a petrol station, a bank, modern rest areas, a modern hotel, modern parking areas, a police station, and a fire service station.
It is equipped with electricity and adequate water; it has a hospital, a mosque, good roads and water supply, and large and modern shops.
Governor Buni is currently building this largest trailer park to ensure the improvement of the lives of the good people of Potiskum local government area, along with developing the economy and providing sources of income for Yobe State and the Potiskum local government area.
"Wherever you say trailer in Nigeria, you will say Potiskum. The people of Potiskum are well known for their abundant trailers, so we will create the largest and most modern trailer park in this local government area to improve transportation and modernise it among our people and communities."
