Denis Villeneuve made the second film categorically better than the first. The kind of better that makes the first film look like the prologue it always was.

Timothee Chalamet completes a transformation more disturbing than heroic. This is not a chosen one story. It is a story about a man who uses prophecy to build a political machine.

Zendaya finally gets the screen time she deserved. Chani is the conscience of the film.

Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha is unhinged in the best way. The arena scene is one of the best action sequences this decade.

Hans Zimmer's score does not accompany the film. It IS the film.

Rating: 9.5/10. The best blockbuster since Mad Max: Fury Road.
