The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has received the dual honors of traditional title and the most influential recognition, the first time a leader has received such recognition on the African continent.
The governor received the traditional title from the Fune Emirates with the title (Sardaunan Fune), and it is a very influential title in the Hausa Traditional Emirates, it the traditional title that is responsible for carrying out the most influential and quality of life of the people under the traditional Emirates in the Hausa continent.
The honoring of Gov. Buni with this traditional title shows the confidence that the people of Yobe State have in him for his commitment to serve the people of Yobe State and to dedicate his life to serving his state and his people.
The African Most Influential Award from the "Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA) Award" Governor Buni is the first leader to receive this award from this organization that claims to promote health and research on health solutions in Africa.
Receiving this award, which is an award that they named "Honorary Membership and Hall of Fame Induction," shows that the governor has been influential in finding solutions for his people in the health sector, as a result of which the organization honored him with the award and facilitated his membership in the foundation.
This followed the governor's commitment to inviting experts from many parts of the world to research the causes of kidney disease that has afflicted some areas of the state, from the northern part of the state (Zone C) to the eastern part of the state (Zone A), as kidney disease is seen as a serious problem in the areas.
After establishing a free treatment system for those suffering from the disease, including free kidney dialysis, the governor provided research and data collection to determine the reasons for the spread of the disease among the good people of the areas.
Certainly, Governor Buni's efforts are impacting the improvement of the lives of the people of Yobe State as he has prioritized health, education, and social welfare.
