The Nzem Berom is an annual cultural festival of the Berom people. The Berom people are the largest ethnic group in Plateau State with a population of over 3,5 Million people, spanning into 4 different local government areas: Jos North, Jos South, Gwoll (Barkin Ladi), Riyom Local Government Areas and some parts of Southern Kaduna, specifically, Sanga, Local Government Area, respectively.
The Nzem Berom usually holds between the months of April-May to usher in the rainy season, and to pray to God (Dagwi-Darwei) for graceful planting and bountiful yields during harvest.
