Day 30: Reflections

Another year is coming to an end and another opens up. A proverb about work and making known your strides struck my mind amidst my short reflections today. Hear it:
"Imọtọ ki tọfa ñw gunu owñu d’ọla ñw ñe ña."
TRANSLATION: "Any child who
shoots a vulture with an arrow merely exposes himself to public ridicule because it is not an edible bird." It is used to tell a child not to be too heard in
public.
A futile activity undertaken in public always attracts public opprobrium.
As a young man, walk your talk, consistently progress amidst the silence. Don't be too vocal about your every step.
