Day 26: Celebrating the Elders in Our Lives
As I looked around my street, I realized that I don't have an elder who lives nearby that I'd like to write about. However, this prompt made me think about the incredible elders who have made a significant impact in my life.
One such person is my late grandma, who was an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold. Although she's no longer with us, her love, wisdom, and legacy continue to inspire me.
What made my grandma special?
1. Unconditional Love: Her love was pure, selfless, and unconditional. She had a special way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.
2. Wisdom and Guidance: My grandma was a fountain of wisdom, always ready to offer guidance, advice, and encouragement. Her words of wisdom still resonate in my heart.
3. Faith and Values: She instilled in me the importance of faith, values, and morals. Her unwavering commitment to her beliefs inspired me to stand strong in mine.
4. Memories and Traditions: I cherish the memories of our Sunday visits, where she'd cook delicious meals and share stories. These traditions created a sense of belonging and connection.
My grandma may be gone, but her memory lives on in my heart. I'm grateful for the time we had together and for the lessons she taught me.
