Ouzoud Falls
The Ouzoud Falls known as Les Cascades d'ouzoud in french is the collective name for several waterfalls in the province of Azilal located in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, near the town of Tanaghmeilt and has seven layers but it is not free fall. Ouzoud meaning "The act of grinding" in Berber the descendants of the pre-Arab inhabitants of North Africa.The waterfall leads into the El-Abid river gorge.
It is a famous as the tallest water in Morocco North Africa as they are over 360ft tall, which is almost twice as tall as Nigeria.
The falls are considered a sacred site by the local Berber people, who believe that the water has healing properties.
Aside her Spiritual significance the falling Waters has created a lot of pools at the bottom that are deep enough to swim in. Visitors can hike down to the base of the falls, take boat rides along the river, and observe the local Barbary macaque monkeys that inhabit the area. Her surrounding areas of Ouzoud Falls is known for its lush greenery, olive groves, and traditional Berber villages, offering a peaceful and scenic setting for visitors.
Two significant route leads to the fall, we have the 36km(22miles) from the town of Azilal and 150km(39milrs) from Marrakesh.
