The unique thing about my culture (that I'm grateful) for is that traditional Igbo culture emphasizes values such as, respect for elders, and hospitality.

My culture extremely upholds respect for elders. The reason been that it is a belief, widely shared among the Igbos, that if one respects and honors an elder, one will eventually live to become an elder. Bowing as a form of greeting is common in Nigeria to show respect to elders. This is a display of respect and recognition for their wisdom and age. Other examples includes; Standing up for elder to sit down if all seats are occupied, Helping elders to carry their bags /loads when you see them on the road, running errands for them, listening to their advice or wisdom.

The culture of traditional Igbo upholds hospitality and I'm grateful for that. They treats visitors with warm welcome, honor, care/ love and respect. They see to their comfort and welfare which leaves a lasting impact in the heart of people that cross their path.

It's not an exaggeration that Igbos are know for being respectful and hospitable.
