Tí mo bá sọ pé "ẹ kú àárọ̀", iwọ yóò sọ pé "báwo ni ìròyìn ọ̀sán rẹ?"
Tí mo bá sọ pé "ìròyìn ọ̀sán mi dára", iwọ yóò sọ pé "kà á fún Ọlọ́run gbogbo ọlá".
Nítorí náà, a máa sọ àwọn òwe àti àsà Yoruba bí i nítorí yìí."

Good Morning the family of Nircle, My name still remains Opeyemi. On today's episode of discover Africa Challenge with me, we'd be exchanging pleasantries in my local dialect.
if I say good morning you will say how was your night
if I say my night went well , you will say let's give all glory to God.
Then we'd be sifting through some Yoruba adages and proverbs.

Now let just explore 6 Yoruba adages real quick

Here are six Yoruba proverbs along with their translations and meanings:

1. Igi mọ́, ẹṣin mọ́, àgbàdo mọ́, ẹni àtẹ́wọ́ṣọ.
Translation:"A tree is known by its fruit; a horse is known by its rider."
Meaning: This means that people can be judged by their results, actions, or the company they keep.

2. Àkàrà gbó, ẹni tó rá won a f'odò.
Translation:The bean cake (àkàrà) is deep-fried; whoever buys it must be ready to eat."
Meaning:You must be prepared to face the consequences of your choices or decisions.

3. Eni tí a kò mu ni gbé ilẹ̀ mà.
Translation:He who is not carried cannot stand on the ground."

Translation:One does not touch a horse that is to be sold."

6. Bi a kò ba ran ẹnu, àpè ní ṣíṣe."
Translation:"If we do not respect our elders, we will pay the price."
Meaning:This proverb highlights the importance of respecting elders and the consequences that may arise from neglecting to do so.
