Yesterday, October 8th, 2024 made it the 11th day of the #NircleDaily posts challenge.

The Days before was about our traditional attires where I officially declared that I was, and still am a bonafide Igala boy who loves Pounded yam and Okoho soup (stick soup)

Here's the recipe to prepare Okoho soup

Ingredients
==>> Okoho Stick, Okpei, meat, fresh pepper, seasoning cubes, Stock fish and Dried fish. (Most people don't use palm oil to prepare it while others do. It doesn't make the sweetness of this soup to deplete.)

Let's cook:

1. Wash your meat, blend your pepper and onions and pour into it.
2. Put your stock fish and dried fish
3. Add moderate amount of seasoning cubes and add palm oil (Optional).
4. Put water and allow to cook
5. Scrape your Okoho stick, hit it hard with a pestle and Shred it
6. Put in a bowl and pour hot water into it and drain the liquid from the stick
7. Pour the liquid into the meat, beat properly and allow to cook.
8. Okoho soup is ready and can be eaten with any swallow, but more preferably with Pounded Yam...

Hope you'd try this recipe some other time.
