




Damaturu City Transformation: The Ongoing Construction of Mega Motor Park as Samsud Construction Nig. Ltd Vows to Complete in 12 Months

The Ongoing construction of the Mega Motor Park in Damaturu City has been moving ahead in a systematic manner as Governor Buni has vowed to transform and modernize Damaturu City into a modern and vibrant city.
In April, 2024, the Yobe State Government under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, signed the contract agreement for the construction of the New Damaturu Mega Motor Park worth about 6.1 billion with a promise of completion within 12 months.
The contract was awarded to the modern construction company Samsud Construction Nig. Ltd where they conducted the ground breaking, laid the bricks of it's construction and started the project in May, 2024 to ensure that the 12-month deadline given by the state government to complete the project in a modern and efficient manner.
The Mega Motor Park is a key project in the Damaturu City Development Plan of Governor Buni as it is designed to improve transport services and provide a safe and efficient travel system for commuters and motorists.
The facility will comprise a modern structure comprising modern city terminals, loading bays, commercial areas, passenger lounges, essential support services and a safety and security unit and a unified travel system.
Yobe State is undergoing a period of transformation and development that has never been seen since the state’s inception over 34 years ago.
The establishment of the terminal will not only improve transport, revitalize Damaturu City and transform the transport landscape but will also create jobs and self-reliance for the people of the state and its environs.
