Daddy said a lot aloud
He's to make you proud
He kept his promise, not
It is a severed knot

Daddy is a human being
Not just for the time being
He wishes that baby understands
The way everything stands

Why must Daddy go
Baby wants to know
Baby keeps asking why
Daddy now wants to say bye

Would Daddy look back
In these moments of lack
Baby might not openly ask
Understanding is a difficult task

Daddy is concerned too
But there's a lot he needs to do
Life has not smiled at him, you know
To opportunities, he can't say no

Daddy harbors a lot of his Spain
The S is as silent as the bane
Baby sees right through me
Everything that would always be

This cross has been mine
This race needs to be won
But Daddy and his day-one
Are falling from cloud nine

However, Daddy carries grace
He recognizes it
Daddy needs a good pace
He hopes God fixes it
