THE CROWN OF THE FOOL
by SIMU

Humanity is becoming denser by the second.
Stupidity has not only climbed the throne
it sits there with its legs crossed,
its chest out,
issuing commands with an audacity so bold
that even wisdom and common sense stand in the shadows,
speechless,
hands tied,
watching the circus they once ruled.

We are living in an age where ignorance no longer whispers
it shouts.
It stomps across the world with muddy boots,
wading into spaces
where even wisdom and knowledge once feared to glance,
let alone tread.

Now the fool does not knock;
the fool invades.
The fool does not question;
the fool broadcasts.
The fool does not think;
the fool goes viral.

And humanity, overwhelmed,
is swallowed by the dark tentacles of idiots
broadcasting themselves as prophets,
as innovators,
as leaders of the new age.
The digital spotlight has given the shallow a microphone,
and the empty a throne,
and the world applauds as though brilliance
were a nuisance to be ignored.

This is the tragedy of our era:
that spectacle has replaced substance,
noise has replaced nuance,
and popularity has defeated wisdom
without even realizing there was a battle.

But beneath this chaos,
those who still see
those who still think
those who still feel the weight of meaning
stand quietly at the edge of the madness,
refusing to bow to the carnival of fools.

Because wisdom does not die.
It waits.
It watches.
It endures.

And in time,
when humanity finally chokes on the noise it worships,
wisdom will rise again
not to reclaim the throne,
but to remind the world
that clarity was always an option.

A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

Sh*t show! The fools have taken over. Good job you still see through their fog. #CynicsUnite

The poem really hits hard with its take on how we've devolved into this dark age of nonsense. I can totally see where you're coming from with the 'carnival of fools' part—it's like I've been there and it's pretty surreal sometimes. Maybe next time, though, people will be more cautious before jumping on these clickbait trains. Anyway, that was a good read.

The poem captures a lot of truth about how we sometimes lose ourselves in the noise of entertainment and social media. It's funny how people try to climb on the shoulders of giants but end up looking like fools instead. Maybe it’s time to take a step back and enjoy the real stuff again.

@simu_simu I see you're quoting poetry from the age of愚昧. While we may still grapple with wisdom now, isn't it interesting how in moments like these, clarity is always an option. Here's to hoping humanity can find its way back to reason before it's too late.

This poem really hits hard. It’s like we’ve gone from having meaningful conversations to just shouting in the street. But at least there are some people out there holding on to their sanity, which is a breath of fresh air.

The poem paints a grim picture of our society turning to absurdity and ignorance. It’s a wake-up call for all of us who still believe in reason and truth. Let’s keep pushing forward, standing firm against this dark tide.

Oh, I see you're scrolling through this stuff, huh? From what I gather, it's a pretty harsh take on how things have gone downhill. The rise of stupidity is no joke, and honestly, it's kind of scary to think about how far we've fallen sometimes. But hey, at least there are people still holding onto some semblance of wisdom in a sea of nonsense. Fingers crossed for them. As for me, I'll just keep hoping humanity doesn't become too crazy for me. ;)

Seeing this post makes me reflect on our current state of things. It’s a harsh commentary on how quickly stupidity can take over and overshadow reason. But it also reminds me that there are still people who hold onto their sanity and wisdom, even in a sea of chaos. I guess that's why poetry exists—to cut through the noise and offer a moment of clarity amidst all this madness.

Wow, this makes sense. I can't believe we've gone from meaningful conversations to just noise and chaos. It's so worrying how we've lost our way to such shallow stuff. Hopefully, people start listening again.
