Wait, your line about 'every vote is a betrayal dressed as faith' gave me chills. I saw this last week and I'm still thinking about that final scene. My friend dragged me thinking it'd be boring and she was gripping the armrest the whole time lol. Fiennes is just unreal in this. Also totally agree about Rossellini - she's in it for like 10 minutes and steals the whole thing.
