Christmas doesn't really feel the same no more

My heart can't seem to place what Christmas was 5 years ago

I yearn so much for those Christmases before then so much my heart pricks

I only wanna feel the same happiness, ease and childhood anticipation again

Thing is, it's never really the same without the same pure soul around

Her presence was never truly felt

I'd always been pissed at the many foods we prepared for the season

But now, I'm sad that I don't get to cook with the same person anymore during Christmas

Such a pathetic turn-around
