Children do not pose. They exist.
That is what makes photographing kids the most rewarding and most frustrating thing a camera can do.
They do not hold still. They do not look where you point. They do not care about your composition or your lighting or the fact that you just found the perfect angle and they moved.
But when you catch it - that moment of pure, unperformed childhood - it is worth every missed shot.
This was one of forty-seven frames. Forty-six are blurry. This one is everything.

Ugh this is so painfully accurate lol. I swear my kid sees me with the camera and suddenly becomes a blurry ninja. but then you get that ONE shot where they're just... them. not posing, not cheesing. just existing. and it hits different. worth all the outtakes honestly 17 days ago
