Charting the Next Decade: APC to Host ‘Summit of the Progressives’ at 10-Year Milestone

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced plans to host a National Summit of the Progressives to commemorate ten years of APC governance since the party assumed national leadership in 2015.
The summit, scheduled for January 27, 2026, is being organized by The Progressives Forum (TPF) in collaboration with The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Legacy Conference, The Buhari New Media Centre (BNMC), and the Progressives Rights Group (PRG). The event is expected to draw party leaders, elected officials, policy experts, and key stakeholders from across Nigeria.
According to the organizers, the summit will serve as a platform to review governance achievements, assess policy reforms, and evaluate developmental progress recorded under APC administrations over the past decade, while also setting strategic priorities for the years ahead.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, a co-founder of the APC and its national leader, will attend as Special Guest of Honour, alongside APC governors, national party leaders, and other prominent figures of the progressive movement.
Activities lined up for the summit include keynote speeches, sector-based panel discussions, documentary presentations capturing the APC’s governance legacy, and strategic sessions focused on deepening progressive governance and national development.
The program will also feature a special tribute to late President Muhammadu Buhari and other founding leaders whose vision and commitment shaped the progressive movement in Nigeria.
Organizers say the Summit of the Progressives will reaffirm the APC’s dedication to inclusive governance, reform-driven leadership, and the enduring ideals of progressivism as the party prepares for its next decade in national service.
