Changing garment

When we closed our eyes in prayers
Theirs were left to wander in the dark
Same journey from the pulpit to the Treasury
leaving our pockets with dangerous holes
Where justice is robbed, peace has no say
Even the ballot was not spared
From changing garments to Carting votes away
Gambling with a fragile future
Voters displayed for sale
Not worth more than a penny
Justice gone deaf
Forces are handicapped With a carricature for a gun
They still aim at us
The masses wear a cheap bloodstained garment
Running waiting, waiting running
Can we keep the pace and stay safe
Or get the garment of lies to keep our lives
Electorate in the theatre while party officials party in their garment of shame
We await the change
not of garment but of
opportunities
