CAN WE EVER BREAK THE CIRCLE OF VIOLENCE?

What kills faster than a carnivore and consumes like termites? Anger, the one force that drives humans to slowly transform into monsters. I witnessed a horrific confrontation between cult members today, which made me ponder this question. A minor misdeed by a fellow student escalated into a violent altercation, with the offended party attempting to stab the offender despite their apology. A simple 'I'm sorry' can go a long way in preventing situations from spiraling out of control.
As I reflected on the incident, I asked myself, 'Why attempt to stab someone who has already apologized?' The answer lies in fury, anger, and rage. The author of 'Raider and the Treasure Trove' aptly describes rage as 'Rage drags rags after you. Rage spreads toxic fumes.' We often underestimate the impact of rage, but victims of anger and fury can attest that it only leads to worse incidents.
If we hope for a better world where peace reigns, we must take significant steps towards it. This includes avoiding ego and anger, taking responsibility for our actions, and acknowledging our mistakes. The authorities' timely intervention prevented further escalation, but the broken bottle pieces served as a stark reminder of rage's dangers.
Let us choose to live with peace and love today, helping to prevent the spread of rage's toxic fumes. By doing so, we can create a better world, free from the destructive power of anger and fury.
