"Letting go"
She said, "you're too calm!!"
are you mad at me?
I said i'm cool! with my cold palm,
Just too tired lately
Sweetheart!! Sorry I've gone mute,
can barely say much.
They ain't no rhythm in our flute,
And you barely feel my touch.
I've said "I'm sorry" the millionth time
But your heart no longer listens to me
Even sworn over space and time
Cause leaving you is so hard for me
Darling I'm tired of holding a space for you
Had never waited so long on losing battles
So I'm letting go, this love's no longer true
Even though I cherish our lovely past and hassles
Baby I've been on this script
For way too long
And even within my broken spirit
I still mime your beautiful song
letting you go for your priceless smiles
I hope you find what you never found in our bond
I can see your heart running far a thousand mile
It hurts the most to think we've grown so fond.
