This awkward sails
Upon our land assail
Our brothers to put behind barraccoons bar...

They said they bar is calm
Like wine from the raffia palm
Drunk in Akpabuyos bar...

The land of memorial graves
Of countless a slaves
Caught & sold afar...

Calabar
Where the ships baited
Our brothers the cargos waiting
In chains to be carried off afar...

Where were our ndems
When the obongs & edidems
Gave this mortal scar...

Calabar
The fond glory in blood
Thy brothers brood
Was yours a royal scar...

Calabar
The marine was your highway
For thy slaving tirades far away
Your royal diadem...

Calabar
You spilled our royal blood on the estuary
In slavery pittance our obituary
Was yours rs alone the diadem...?

In riotous glee to his will you did obeisance
Now with sorrow thy memory renaissance
Long long after our deaths...

Thy boats sailed your swords hitherland
Of which he had no word but a hand
Thy sons bond to their deaths...

You gav him your sure words
And brothers your bitterest swords
In chains of bondages...

A ravage of our tribes
Was it hatred or bribes
That took long dis ages...

Calabar
Days & times have past
But once upon this water our glances cast
We fear again thy sails...

Ages was our last slave dance
When in blood men took stance
And set our freedoms assail...

Calabar
Until royalty walked slave chained
The Robins the trade they gained
Upon this bloodied shore...

Calabar
There they had a glimpse, a taste
Of the slaves fate
And prayed for freedom to Moor...

Calabar
All this is they worst history
A true story of your mystery
We shall forever read...

Calabar
Today we stand upon dis shore freemen
The dreams of the bondmen
A glorious call to lead...

Calabar
Our long dried tears
Shall the inks be to pen this sad tales
Upon every slave route...

Calabar
Lets this sad memoirs be
Freedoms flags free
Along libertys enroute...
