The streets of Damaturu turned into a carnival of celebration today as Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, inspected the ongoing multi-billion-naira Damaturu Flyover and Underpass and the Damaturu–Gambir Road projects.
Cheering residents poured out in their thousands, waving and chanting in praise of the governor, whose leadership they described as a blessing to Yobe State.
The inspection tour quickly became a rally of solidarity, with the people reaffirming their unshakable support for his vision of progress and modern development.
Speaking at the flyover site, Gov. Buni commended the contractors for maintaining speed and quality, assuring that the project would end years of traffic congestion and flooding challenges in the capital.
“This project will change the face of Damaturu and improve lives for generations to come,” he declared.
At the Damaturu–Gambir Road, the governor emphasized its economic significance, stressing that it would open opportunities for farmers and traders by easing the movement of produce into Damaturu’s markets.
Excited residents hailed the projects as historic milestones, describing Gov. Buni as a leader who delivers with sincerity and courage. Contractors handling the works assured timely completion, reinforcing hope among the people.
The inspection, transformed into a massive show of love and loyalty, once again proved that Gov. Buni’s people-centered governance continues to inspire confidence and unite Yobe on the path of lasting transformation.
