Buni Free Drugs: The distribution of Governor Buni's free drugs to PHCs and secondary hospitals across 17 LGAs of Yobe State continued

... As is the case every month, free drugs are being distributed to hospitals in Yobe State under the "Yobe State Free Drugs."


The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, continued the distribution of free drugs to primary health care and secondary hospitals in order to boost healthcare services and facilitate access to free and easy healthcare for the good people of the state.

As the Information/Media Assistant of "Yobe State Free Drugs," Suleiman Gambo Yusuf Bakoro posted on his Facebook page, confirming that the distribution for the month of March is currently ongoing to hospitals across the state from primary health care to secondary hospitals to facilitate health-related matters for the people of Yobe State.

Suleiman Gambo Yusuf Bakoro confirmed that the distribution of free drugs worth millions of naira is continuing.

"Yobe State Free Drugs under the state's Ministry of Health and Human Services has procured drugs and medical consumables worth millions of naira for monthly distribution to the selected primary healthcare and secondary hospitals across 17 LGAs of the state for the month of March 2025," Yusuf Bakoro said.

He also confirmed that the distribution of drugs to the state hospitals is now underway to continue emergency services under the directive of the state's governor under the Yobe State Ministry of Health.

"The drugs and medical consumables procured have been distributed to the benefiting healthcare facilities. The distribution of free drugs and medical consumables to the selected healthcare facilities is in line with the health policy agenda of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led administration in improving healthcare access for disadvantaged individuals across the state, especially women and children, by ensuring that no one is left behind in the quest for quality healthcare services in the state," Yusuf Bakoro added.

The governor has also launched a free medical aid scheme to help pregnant women, children, the weak, and the needy across the state. Under the scheme, the governor has provided free emergency ambulances that will provide free medical treatment for 48 hours across Yobe State.

Governor Buni is committed to strengthening health services to improve the lives of the good people of Yobe State.
