History is being rewritten in Degubi town, Nangere LGA, as Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, launches the construction of the long-awaited Potiskum–Degubi Road, signaling a new chapter of connectivity, progress, and hope for the people of Yobe State.
The project, already taking shape on-site, marks a major milestone in Governor Buni’s mission to expand infrastructure and open up rural communities to trade, education, and essential services. Heavy-duty machines are at work—turning a once-dusty, neglected route into a modern, accessible roadway.
Residents of Degubi and surrounding areas could not hide their excitement, describing the project as a long-overdue blessing that will bring relief to farmers, traders, and travelers who for years endured hardship navigating the route.
“This is not just a road; it is a road to opportunity,” said one community leader. “Governor Buni has restored our hope and reconnected us to the rest of Yobe.”
The Potiskum–Degubi Road is part of Buni’s broader infrastructure drive—a bold vision to strengthen Yobe’s economy through improved mobility, access, and regional trade. Analysts say the road will ease transportation costs, enhance agricultural movement, and boost small business activities across the region.
Under Governor Buni’s leadership, Yobe continues to witness visible progress in roads, schools, healthcare, and market projects—each one serving as proof of his commitment to building a stronger, inclusive, and prosperous state.
As the machines roll and the road takes form, one message echoes from the people of Degubi: “Buni’s leadership is transforming promises into progress.”
