BROKEN MIRROR

Broken Mirror
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Once you showed us, one and all.
A bond of trust, a whispered vow,
Reflected laughter, here and now.

But shadows crept, a serpent's hiss,
Poisoned words, a stolen kiss.
The glass it cracked, a web of lies,
Shattered trust before our eyes.

Each shard a memory, sharp and cold,
Stories whispered, secrets told.
The laughter's echo, faint and thin,
Replaced by whispers of what's been.

Can we gather up the broken pieces,
Mend the cracks with gentle speeches?
Or will the image, once so bright,
Be lost in fragments, lost to light?

The mirror waits, a silent plea,
For trust to rise, for hearts to see.
A fragile hope, a whispered prayer,
To mend the mirror, mend what's there.

For even broken, light can shine,
In fragments, love can still define.
With patient hands and tender care,
We build anew, a love to share.

So let the mirror mend, piece by piece,
And in its depths, find sweet release.
For broken trust, though hard to bear,
Can heal with time, and love to share.
