Breadcrumbs,
the crumbs of affection
the little crumbs of attention
that comes in the form of half-hearted texts
canceled plans, leaving us vexed
unfulfilled promises and shaky trusts
leaving me wondering if our love
was just for you to thrust
love they say isn’t built on empty trails
so this is me telling you
I want the whole bakery
and I’m no longer accepting breadcrumnbs.
