Born Free

They called it the birth of a child…
But heaven called it the beginning of freedom.
A cry in a manger,
But a shout in eternity.
No palace, no crown, no throne in sight,
Yet that night, darkness started losing its fight.
Unto us a Child was born,
Unto us a Son was given,
But unto sin, a sentence was written:
“Your reign is broken, your chains are finished.”
This was not just history,
It was liberty.
Not just a baby in swaddling cloth,
But the breaker of bonds,
The crusher of curse,
The freedom wrapped in flesh.
Think about it,
The same hands that would one day stretch on a cross
First wrapped around Mary’s finger.
The same feet that would crush the serpent’s head
First kicked in a manger’s hay.
The same lips that would say, “It is finished”
First whispered as a baby’s cry.
And from that cry,
Hell began to panic.
Herod tried to kill Him,
But HOW DO YOU KILL LIFE HIMSELF?
The devil tried to stop Him,
But HOW DO YOU STOP THE DOOR OF FREEDOM??
Man tried to silence Him,
But HOW DO YOU SILENCE THE WORD???
He came small,
But He carried all.
He came weak,
But He broke what made us weak.
He came low,
But He lifted us high.
I'm talking about the Abánikédùn,
The One who became flesh so He could feel what flesh feels
I'm talking about the Olúdàninídè,
The Great Liberator,
The Jagunjagun wey no dey lose battle.
The one who fought a great war so we should fight no more.
I'm talking about the Omo Aládé Àláfíà,
The one who is capable of commanding the storms in this nation to cease.
At the mention of His name, Every knee drops (no capping)
If you believe, can you shout His name at the count of 3
Are you ready???
1,
2,
3 — JESUS!!!
For He shall save His people from their sins.
Not hide it, not explain it, not excuse it.
SAVE!
Pull out the nails of shame.
Tear down the walls of blame.
Unlock the doors of pain.
This is the essence of His birth:
He did not come for decoration,
But for liberation.
Not just Christmas lights,
But kingdom light.
Not jingle bells,
But broken shells.
Not Santa Claus,
But Satan crushed.
And isn’t it funny?
That freedom didn’t march in with an army,
It crawled in with a baby.
That liberation didn’t wear royal robes,
It wore rags.
That the King of kings
Was laid where animals fed ,
So even beasts would know:
This Bread of Life is for all.
So hear me;
If you came bound, He was born for you.
If you came guilty, He was given for you.
If you came empty, He came full for you.
If you came wounded, He came healing for you.
This is not just nativity.
This is captivity loosed.
This is not just Bethlehem.
This is freedom’s anthem.
And tonight,
If you listen close,
You can still hear that manger cry.
It says:
Be thou loosed from fear.
Be thou loosed from shame.
Be thou loosed from sin.
Be thou loosed in His name.
Because when Jesus was born,
Chains were warned.
Sin was scorned.
Life was reborn.
And liberty was sworn.
Born once in a stable.
But still born daily in every heart that believes.
That is Christmas.
That is liberation.
THAT IS JESUS!!!
