Be Gone Misty Blackness

A heaviness. A sadness. A fleeing of joyful exuberance
Like a misty Blackness engulfing my soul
It lays over me like a blanket covering
Weighing down with woe, joylessness and fearful thoughts
Stealing away and stifling the very life force

Unmerciful, unmoving, unrelenting
It takes hold and hangs tight
Like a vicious tyrant unyielding
Staking claim and subjugating
No subject releasing
Constantly Under threat of pain and torture

A deception. A lie
That you are a lifelong companion and friend
Faithfully constant through time and ages
Seeking to entrap my soul and being
Ensuring for yourself a forever host
Meek, malleable and helpless

But Nay! I discern your plan
I sense your uncertainty, fear and insecurity
Knowing that my knowledge is my power
Knowledge that this body temple is mine
And I can kick you out homeless and hostless
Into the black night from whence you came
Or the abyss from which you arose

I wield this power to conquer and reign
To take back the lost kingdom of heart and mind; soul and body; spirit and being
Casting out the devious pestilence
The slithering deceiver, thief and murderer
Pushing back the misty darkness
The light of emancipation and freedom shining through

Flying, soaring, releasing, freeing
Triumphant, healed, whole, delivered
Fully present, fully abundant, fully alive, fully vibrant
A peace and freedom hard fought and won
Entering into the gifting of a life true and full
