CHAPTER 1




There was an immeasurable amount of joy among the notorious armed robbery gang called the Dragons.
They had been partying all day long, breaking bottles, and exchanging pleasantries, because it was their leader's birthday.


Scorpion, as everyone addresses him, was a notorious armed robber. He was the leader of the 'dragons', and he had been causing terror in the city with his gangs, stealing people's money and possessions in broad daylight.

He has become so disturbing that the police now fear him.



Their excitement about the party subsided when one of them, called Picco, suggested the idea of getting a lady who would be with Scorpion tonight to make his day a memorable one.


"We should get you a human cake, boss. A sweetener that will warm the bed for you," Picco said.

"You must be a crazy fellow, man; why would you suggest this stupid idea? Shey, you want to destroy our party by bringing in an outsider? Another member questioned him.

"What's wrong with you people nah. He needs to have more fun….," Picco was shut by Scorpion.


"That's enough. Go and get one for me, Picco, and be fast about it. Look, I don't want a used vehicle; get a fresh wine for me." he ordered, and immediately Picco left to get a girl for him.

At the school junction, Jessica Robbins has been waiting for her friend, Ama Clitton, for over an hour now. She was becoming so impatient with Ama; she had dialed her number several times, but she wasn't picking.

"Where the hell did this girl go? Ama and her walkabout spirit. I am going home; whenever she feels like coming back, she can do that by herself," Jessica Robbins said and made to leave.


Just as she turned towards her direction, a car halted in front of her, almost hitting her. "Hey, are you insane? Didn't you see me coming?" Jessica yelled at the driver.



Picco came out of the car, apologized to her, and almost immediately, he brought out a pistol. "Just enter the car, pretty, I won't harm you. Be fast."


Jessica entered the vehicle in fright, and Picco zoomed off.


When they arrived at the gang's apartment, Jessica was offered a drink but she refused. They tried to force her but Scorpion rebuked them, "You guys should stop yelling at my queen. Won't you do the same if you were her, right? You kidnapped her and you expected her to be happy"



"I am not your queen. Please, take me away from here; I don't know you guys," she insisted.



"No need to be afraid, baby girl. You are just going to be my bedmate tonight; my bed needs to be warmed, okay."

"No way! Please don't do this to me. This is against my wish, and I don't want it. Moreover, I have never done it before." Jessica cried.

Immediately, Scorpion turned and looked at his members as they exchanged surprised and happy glances.
