Avoid Jargons!

As a Nigerian, you'd get to see and hear a lot of great people use words that surprise you of its existence.

Our lawyers, politicians and sometimes career people, tend to use these words generously to the public.

Without mentioning names, we've seen a particular government holder, present a budget with the biggest words, that we've ever heard.

This post is not targeted at that but to give you an idea of what I'm going to be talking about.

As a writer, please use simple words!

Whether, you like it or not, there are people who haven't gone to school but love to read your work.

So please, be accommodating to everyone by avoiding Jargons!

I'm not saying that you shouldn't use sophisticated words but you shouldn't fill it with your work, in a way that the audience can't read your work without the presence of a dictionary.

Let your readers, highlight the words, in a way that they can learn new words but avoid Jargons.
