Myself and My Sister got talking about Leadership, then we spoke about an INSECURED LEADER and the traits they exhibit and I would love to share them here because I have seen these traits a number of times. Infact I didn't know people like that were tagged INSECURED LEADERS! Let's Go 🧗
Insecure leaders often exhibit certain characteristics that can negatively impact their teams, organizations, and relationships. Here are some common characteristics of an insecure leader:
1. *Fear of criticism*: They are defensive and sensitive to feedback, often perceiving it as a personal attack.
2. *Need for constant validation*: They require constant praise and recognition to feel confident.
3. *Micromanaging*: They struggle to delegate tasks and trust their team members to handle responsibilities.
4. *Lack of transparency*: They may hide information or be secretive to maintain a sense of control.
5. *Blame-shifting*: They often shift responsibility for their mistakes to others.
6. *Inability to admit mistakes*: They struggle to apologize or acknowledge errors.
7. *Fear of being overshadowed*: They may feel threatened by competent team members or colleagues.
8. *Difficulty in building trust*: They may struggle to establish and maintain trust with their team and stakeholders.
9. *Tendency to manipulate*: They might use guilt, anger, or self-pity to control others.
10. *Inconsistent behavior*: They may exhibit inconsistent behavior, such as sudden mood swings or changing expectations.
11. *Lack of self-awareness*: They may not recognize or acknowledge their own flaws or areas for improvement.
12. *Overemphasis on appearance*: They focus excessively on appearance, status, or perception over substance and results.
13. *Difficulty in delegating*: They struggle to empower others and delegate responsibilities effectively.
14. *Inability to handle conflict*: They may avoid or poorly manage conflicts, leading to unresolved issues.
15. *Lack of accountability*: They may not hold themselves or others accountable for performance or results.
Let's do a proper and sincere self examination today! We have to become better leaders. God help us ❤️ #nircle
