“APC Is Our Party—Let Every Effort Be Channelled Through the Party” – Hon. Salisu Muktari Urges Abuja-Based Group to Align with Potiskum Structure

Hon. Salisu Muktari has called for stronger coordination and adherence to party structure, urging a political support group from Abuja to properly align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) framework at the grassroots level in Potiskum Local Government Area.
The group, which travelled from Abuja with the aim of supporting APC activities in Potiskum, was received by the chairman in a cordial atmosphere. While commending their commitment and willingness to contribute, Hon. Salisu Muktari emphasised that all political engagements must be rooted in the party’s established processes.
“It is commendable that you came all the way from Abuja to support the APC,” he said. “However, the proper step is to first engage with the party at the local level. I am a loyal party member who operates within its directives. Once the party formally presents you, we will receive you accordingly. APC is our mother; let every effort be channelled through the party.”
Hon. Salisu Muktari noted that effective political participation requires consultation, structure, and mutual understanding within the party system, adding that such an approach strengthens unity and ensures better outcomes.
Drawing from his years of political experience, he reiterated that while the APC welcomes all supporters, success is best achieved when actions are coordinated through the party.
“I have spent many years in politics and understand the importance of order and process. APC belongs to all of us, and we welcome anyone willing to support its success, but such support becomes more meaningful when it is properly aligned with the party structure,” he added.
The chairman’s remarks highlight the importance of discipline and organisation in grassroots politics, particularly as interest from external support groups continues to grow.
His message is widely seen as reinforcing unity, promoting collaboration, and strengthening the APC’s institutional framework in Potiskum.
