The Executive Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, and Chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum, has taken charge of a 7-man APC team of trusted members to expand the activities of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken this step to strengthen its internal structure by setting up the 7-man committee headed by Governor Buni to oversee the expansion of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
Governor Buni has excelled in political reconciliation and bringing about reforms and policies that have a significant impact on the stability of the party, the appointment of this committee to him reaffirms his commitment and the trust placed in him to reconcile political and governance issues across Nigeria, as it reflects their confidence in his management style as the interim chairman of the APC for 18 months.
The APC’s Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, while briefing newsmen after the conclusion of the NEC meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja, confirmed that “the seven-member committee is headed by the Honourable Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, who played a key role in restoring and ensuring peace and stability during his tenure as Chairman of the Interim Special Coordination Committee (CECPC).” Morka said
