The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State has set a clear and strategic course toward the 2027 governorship election by unanimously embracing a consensus process to produce its candidate.
The decision, reached at a crucial stakeholders’ meeting, underscores the party’s determination to preserve unity, eliminate internal contestation, and strengthen its electoral advantage. Party leaders described the move as a deliberate shift toward harmony-driven politics, where collective interest takes precedence over individual ambition.
Under the arrangement, all aspirants have agreed to abide by the outcome of the consensus process and fully support the eventual flagbearer. This unified stance is expected to consolidate the party’s structure and ensure a seamless, coordinated campaign across the state.
Stakeholders emphasized that the adoption of consensus reflects a high level of political discipline and maturity within the Yobe APC, positioning it as a model of stability and cohesion ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The move also aligns with the leadership philosophy of Gov. Mai Mala Buni, whose administration continues to promote inclusiveness and party unity as key pillars of political success in the state.
With this bold resolution, the Yobe APC has reinforced its readiness to approach the 2027 governorship race with a united front, strong internal alignment, and a clear path to victory.
