Anxiety,
I never knew you were trouble.
Not until now when I met you.
Now that I knew you,
I would seek for ways to bubble.

Anxiety,
The moments you came to me.
You blew my good mood away.
You stopped the things I enjoy.
I stopped loving myself.

Anxiety,
The hours you were with me.
You caused pain and dilemma.
The food I enjoyed was bitter.
My friends became arrows upon my heart.

Anxiety,
Now that I knew you,
I won't allow you in.
To play all the games I can.
To travel as far as I could.

Anxiety,
Then I could speak of Joy again.
Good moments and lovable people.
And enjoy all the things I once loved.
For only hope and faith can restore.
