An Ode to Truth and Contentment.

In a world of fleeting words and empty vows,
Where promises break like fragile boughs,
I urge you, youth, to hold your tongue with care,
And speak with truth, whether foul or fair.
Do not make promises you cannot keep,
For hollow oaths will make your conscience weep.
Instead, let "yes" mean yes, and "no" mean no,
In honesty and candor let your character show.
Youth, beware the siren call of pride,
The urge to reach beyond what you can abide.
In moments of trial, be discreet and calm,
And weather the storm with steady, patient psalm.
Do not chase after a life beyond your means,
For such pursuits are built on fragile dreams.
Contentment, dear youth, is the key to peace,
In gratitude and simplicity, your joys will increase.
So let this wisdom guide you through the years,
And shield you from life's tempestuous spears.
Embrace truth, discretion, and humble ways,
And walk with grace through all your days.
