All I see is disapproval using sarcasm!

To me, what readily comes to mind about Langston Hughes' poem, 'Laughers' is that he's seemingly taking a swipe at his people.
Employing sarcasm, I feel like he expresses utter dismay and disapproval in the kind of life his people settled for. I mean, this doesn't make him proud by any means.
'Loud mouthed laughers in the hands of fate' was just a strong swipe.
