Poetry Theme: Reminiscence of Childhood Friends And Playtime In Africa
Poem Title:Childhood Experience At The Cocoa Farm
1. In Africa's sun-kissed land of gold,
Where cocoa trees stretch, young and old,
My friend and I, with hearts so bright,
Ventured forth, into the afternoon light.
2. We left our village, full of glee,
To explore the farm, wild and free,
The rustling leaves, the swinging trees,
Inviting us to childhood's ease.
3. Our laughter echoed, joyful and wide,
As we chased each other, side by side,
Through rows of cocoa, green and tall,
Our footsteps quiet, on the forest's wall.
4. But then, we saw it, sudden and still,
A ghostly figure, with a gentle will,
Standing amidst the cocoa shade,
Watching us, with eyes that weren't afraid.
5. We froze, our hearts in our throats tight,
Our laughter silenced, in pure fright,
But the ghost spoke, in a whisper low,
"Play on, dear ones, let your spirits glow."
6. With those words, our fear took flight,
And we continued, in the golden light,
Our games, our laughter, our carefree delight,
Under the cocoa trees, on that African night.
7. Years have passed, and we're now apart,
But memories of that day remain in our heart,
A testament to childhood's simple charm,
A bond between friends, that will forever disarm.
