Some of the native dialects spoken in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria include:

Ibibio
The most widespread language in Akwa Ibom State, spoken by the Ibibio people, the largest ethnic group in the state.

Anaang
The second most spoken language in Akwa Ibom State, and the fourth largest in Nigeria.

Igbo
Spoken in some regions of Akwa Ibom State, as well as Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.

Oron
Spoken by the Oron people, who are also found in Cross Rivers State. The Oron people are known for their unique naming practices.

Other languages spoken in Akwa Ibom State include:
Ibeno, Eket, Itu, Uyo, Etinan, Ikot Abasi, Ikono, Ekpe-Atai, Uruan, and Onna.

All these aforementioned dialect are parts of our culture that differentiate us and give us our unique heritage.
