After Ghana gained independence in 1957, Accra saw a surge of monumental buildings symbolizing the nation’s newfound freedom. The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Independence Arch are iconic landmarks, with their minimalist, yet powerful, designs evoking the country's nationalist spirit.
In recent years, Accra has embraced modern and futuristic designs with high-rise buildings and sleek skyscrapers.
