ACCEPT CRITICS

You have eyes but I tell you to act blind
You have ears but I tell you to act deaf
You have mouth but I tell you to act dumb

Humans will call you a poor farmer
Because you borrowed their jembe
Do they know it belonged to one of your farm men?

Humans will call you an helpless sick brat
Because you told them about the medicines you know
Do they know how man patients you've rescued out there?

Humans will call you a school security guard
Because you told them that you normally leave school premises after learners sleep
Do they know how many schools you've led to international academic year awards?

Humans will call you a sweeper and cheap house attendant
Because they've seen you sweep compounds and wash public toilets
Do they know you're an humble and wealthy health advocate?

Humans will call you low class and poor
Because you work regardless of your broken work ethics
Do they know you're naturally polite and economically stable?

Now they still don't know
Why you don't talk
Because they'll never trust you back
Accept critics
Critics are not what you are
But who they really are.
