A WALK IN THE MUSEUM

There was something unique about the paintings hung up on the walls of the museum .They were Van Gogh's after all ,from the time I'd spent learning about I've realised that him and I resonated together on some aspects of life ,we were both looking for peace and self approval through the things we cherished doing the most .The thick rough strokes of paint told stories , they gave an insight to Van's mind, from the starry night art which holds a special place in my mind ,one that gave me the idea he saw the stars as brightened heavenly bodies that needed to be gazed at, to the sunflower protrait done by him and oh do I love and have a huge thing for flowers ,staring at his famous sunflower protrait threatened me with a sense of hope and calmness but the raging storm in my mind never calms .
Amongst all paintings I saw him ,a self portrait of himself .The Vincent Van Gogh in physical but on a canvas plastered with thick stokes of blue , light yellow and ginger coloured paint .His face looked lean covered in a mass of a ginger coloured beard .His eyes held curiosity by the bones even though they seemed quite small and an expression of a certain amusement but as I looked closer I could detect the sadness and longing for peacefulness that seemed to hide itself within those irises .I guess I could see it because I'm in the same position, I'm in a room with my thoughts haunting me and making confused about everything that happens ,I guess where both kind of the same in tht aspect .
I brought out my camera and took a quick snap of the other paintings ,I couldn't stay for long even though I wished I could .I would just stay a little longer and just stare at Van some more but I have to put my work first if I wanted my bills settled .I snapped a picture and went on to the next as each picture revealed a piece of his life .I was finally done with everything and it remained to post ,edit and upload on my website ,i'd already gotten permission to post them on my website and as I got home got and got comfortable ,I realised that even though I never met Gogh ,he seemed like the only person who understood a part of me .He understood through his art .
