A piece of writing must not sweat. It must not struggle to pun, rhyme, and seam; it must not stutter, stagger, or stall. It must not flutter unsteadily; it must not flap rigorously to achieve poise. It must have a unique soul and body of its own. Its swings, parries, and thrusts must be effortless. The arm and blade of the writing must move in unison. It must achieve a oneness, a seamless joining of expression, intent, and meaning. The edges must be smooth, not jagged or ragged. It must have a sheen, not a blinding glare. The piece's arm should not swing wildly and blindly but with finesse and purpose. The writing must not sweat.
