"A Lament for Irreparable Harm"

In darkened realms, where shadows lurk and creep,
Evil's presence festers, a wound that will not sleep.
Hatred's venom spreads, a stain that will not fade,
Leaving scars that time cannot erase, nor tears invade.

Murder's cruel hand has torn apart and slain,
Lives shattered, futures lost, and hearts left to remain.
The echoes of sorrow, a haunting, mournful refrain,
As justice falters, and the guilty escape the strain.

Tyranny's iron grip has crushed the weak and meek,
Oppression's heavy chains have bound the innocent unique.
The voiceless have suffered, their cries silenced and cold,
As evil's minions have reveled, their hearts grown old.

Rape's brutal violence has shattered trust and shattered might,
Leaving survivors with wounds that will haunt through the night.
The memories of that fateful night, a recurring, dreadful sight,
A pain that time cannot heal, nor love redeem in all its light.

In this desolate landscape, where evil holds its sway,
Justice is a distant dream, a fleeting, fading ray.
For some wounds run too deep, some scars too wide and long,
To be erased by punishment, or healed by time's sweet song.

And so we're left with sorrow, with grief that will not cease,
A lament for what's been lost, for lives that will not find release.
For in the face of evil's horrors, justice often falls short,
Leaving us with only tears, and a longing for a distant, fading report.
