A daughter’s ache, a heart split wide
Love and hurt walk side by side.
Born of warmth, raised in storm,
A bond distorted, far from norm.

A mother’s touch, both balm and blade,
Soft in moments, then love delayed.
She yearned for words that never came,
And wore the silence like a name.

The weight of “be good,” the sting of “not quite,”
The smile she faked to make things right.
Validation just out of reach,
A child still learning how to speak.

She danced for love on broken toes,
Afraid to stop, afraid she’d show
The cracks beneath her practiced grace,
The empty rooms behind her face.

What of the wounds that never bled?
The silent wars inside her head?
The guilt that clung, the shame that stayed,
The echoes of “unworthy” played.

And yet within the hollow space,
A flicker moved, a thread of grace.
Not perfect love, but something real,
A truth too deep for time to steal.

She wonders still, can love survive
When both are hurting just to try?
But some bonds fray and never break
A fragile thread that still can wake.

And when the weight became too much to bear,
She whispered prayers into the air.
No answer came just quiet night…
Then grace arrived, soft as light.

God’s love, a refuge from the storm,
A quiet place, a sacred form.
Not earned, not beggedit simply stays,
Through shattered years and winding ways.

With every step, with every fall,
He holds her heart, through it all.
A love that whispers, bold and strong:
You are not broken "you belong".
